Many users draft answers offline or risk losing incomplete responses. Introducing an on-site draft-saving feature could improve workflow and ensure smoother contributions. Could we possibly do this?

This wouldn’t be something we could do. You’d be better off asking on Meta.

@Otaku You can request features on any meta, although MSE tends to get the most attention.

This feature already exists, there's just no way to manually save a draft. According to this answer, drafts are saved automatically every 45 seconds:

We save drafts automatically for all new answers and new questions once every 45 seconds

You can see a "draft saved" label appear eventually as well under the answer text box i.sstatic.net/0kBFBAfCl.jpg (image from mobile)

@Mr.UNIcode I'm not fully sure what you want. Do you want the ability to manually save a draft instead of waiting 45 sec for the autosave?
